The People That Will Be Working On Your Boat
Bob Friedlander- In 1976 after graduating from Northwestern University, Bob moved to Colorado and opened Great Lakes Marine. Bob grew up boating on Lake Michigan later turning his passion into a career by founding Great Lakes Marine. Bob’s true passion was, is and always will be ensuring that your equipment performs as you want it to. Bob has many certifications as well including his designation as a certified OMC Master Technician. Bob has been working on outboards and stern drives since the 1960’s so it is rare to find an engine that he is not familiar with. In fact he is one of very few technicians in today’s market place that is still intimately familiar with the early OMC stringer drive system, as well as the early 1950’s outboards. Bob’s vast experience combined with his passion for boating excellence has helped to create his unique service-oriented business philosophy, providing you with the finest boating experience possible.
Kellen Friedlander- Graduating from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a degree in Economics, Kellen’s arrival represents the next generation of Great Lakes Marine. Kellen, much like his Dad Bob, has a strong passion for the mechanical side of the business and holds many certifications in this area. This also means that you will often find Kellen working on your boat, whether it be performing the maintenance on your new boat or installing any accessory to personalize your boat. Kellen has been extensively trained in sales as well, though much of his knowledge comes from the fact that he has always had a strong love for boating. Having always been around boats, Kellen’s hands-on experience blended with his formal business training make him extraordinarily qualified to help you with all of your boating needs. His enthusiasm, attention to detail, and varied skill base ensure that Great Lakes Marine will prosper for many years to come.
Cable Simpson- Cable has been in the marine industry his entire professional life. Starting his career here in 1992, Cable has firsthand knowledge and experience on all types and vintages of marine systems. An incredibly driven and skilled mechanic with many certifications, he is here to help you with any of your technical inquiries.
